Excerpts from The Guardians of the Relic

Hi my fellow bookworms, The Guardians of the Relic is now out on Amazon.

SynopsisFor librarian Emily Carson, life is great. She has a good job, good friends, new love, and family. Years after the death of her parents, the pieces of her life are finally coming back together. Everything seems to be going well, until one night she mistakenly meets them: a group of mysterious men holding a secret meeting.

Who are they, and what are they planning? To make matters worse, these men don’t seem ordinary to her. There is something very strange about them. Curious, she enlists the help of the weird but quirky genius Ethan Cunningham, but to her surprise he has secrets of his own.

As they search for answers Emily doesn't realize she is treading down a dangerous path and she now has a target on her back. Her whole world gets turned upside down as a series of events unfold and lead her to shocking new discoveries.

I thought the readers would like a sneak peak, so my publisher Arrowhead Freelance and Publishing has released exciting snippets of the book on their website, click on the links below to read:

Emily must also face the mystery that is Ethan Cunningham. Is he someone she can trust?

Emily ran as fast as she could...

The Gunslinger: The Dark Tower Series

Hi my fellow bookworms. I recently finished the first book in the The Dark Tower series by Stephen King, The Gunslinger. The book starts off quite slow and I have to admit it didn't really get my attention at the beginning. However, the story gets very gripping towards the middle and I couldn't put the book down until the end. This book certainly ends with a mystery, leaving the reader wanting to know more about Roland (Gunslinger) and the tower, that is the genius of Mr King's writing. Even if you are like me, not really into stories in the western type settings, you will still find yourself drawn to this book. I will definitely be reading the next book which is The Drawing of the Three.

I was excited to hear that it has been turned into a movie which is releasing in August this year.  I saw the official trailer and it looks amazing!
So the only question left is: what is my rating for this book? I would say it deserves a 4 out of 5 stars, definitely worth checking out.
